The role
Intersciencefire is looking for a Quality Engineer to maintain and improve the systems supporting our laboratory testing and technical reporting.
You will manage controlled documents, audits, corrective actions, training records, equipment records and data traceability. You will work closely with the technical team to ensure quality requirements are embedded into everyday laboratory activities.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the laboratory quality-management system.
- Control procedures, forms, templates and technical records.
- Plan and conduct internal audits.
- Manage nonconformities, investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain staff training, competency and authorisation records.
- Monitor equipment calibration, verification and maintenance records.
- Support the traceability of samples, test data and reports.
- Review reports and records for completeness and consistency.
- Support external assessments, customer audits and accreditation activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve and simplify laboratory processes.
About you
You will ideally have:
- Experience in quality, compliance, technical assurance or laboratory operations.
- Knowledge of document control, auditing and corrective-action processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to write clear procedures and communicate requirements effectively.
- Confidence working with technical teams and following actions through to completion.
Experience with ISO/IEC 17025, UKAS, ISO 9001, testing laboratories or engineering environments would be beneficial.
